This Women's History Month, we honor Shaqueria Myrick, strategic partnerships manager for the Florida Lottery, where she leads a cross-functional team responsible for planning and executing more than 100 public-facing events annually throughout the state. Her work supports statewide outreach, recruitment initiatives, and partnerships with professional sports organizations that enhance public engagement and visibility for the Lottery’s mission.

In this role, she oversees state-sponsored partnerships and marketing contracts while managing more than 60 vendors and ensuring compliance with procurement and fiscal accountability standards. As a Florida Certified Contract Manager, Shaqueria administers over 30 contracts totaling approximately $1.7 million and manages a budget exceeding $1.7 million. She has also strengthened internal operations by launching the Lottery’s first Partnerships webpage and digital asset library.

Additionally, she leads storytelling initiatives that highlight Bright Futures Scholarship recipients, ensuring student success stories remain visible and aligned with the Lottery’s commitment to supporting education in Florida. 

Shaqueria's dedication to educational access was recognized in 2024 when she received the Champion of Education Alumni of the Year award from Take Stock in Children. Beyond her professional role, she serves as Communications and Marketing Committee Board Member for She Academy Inc., supporting mentorship and empowerment initiatives.

Shaqueria is also the Founder and CEO of Purpleprint Media Group, a boutique public relations and social media consultancy that has supported more than 15 small businesses while strengthening community partnerships and events.

A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Florida A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in public relations, Shaqueria is currently pursuing an MBA in marketing at Florida State University.
