Photographer Brad Flowerdew captured this shot of Cece, a resident cat who has made Egypt’s Dendera Temple her home.

The Dendera Temple complex, located about 2.5 kilometres south-east of Dendera, Egypt, is one of the best-preserved temple complexes in the ancient world.

Temple cats have long been revered in Egyptian culture, making Cece’s presence there feel less like coincidence and more like tradition.
