The Nissan Leaf S is equipped with a 40 kWh lithium-ion battery pack paired with a 110 kW electric motor that produces 147 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque. This configuration delivers an EPA-estimated range of 149 miles. For charging, it features a 50 kW CHAdeMO quick charge port and a 6.6kW J1772 port for level 1 and 2.  

Standard amenities include an 8-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, automatic climate control, and a 4-speaker audio system. The S trim also features Nissan's e-Pedal, allowing for one-pedal driving by using regenerative braking to slow the car. Safety is managed by the Nissan Safety Shield® 360 suite, which provides standard Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Lane Departure Warning.
