We’re putting the 2026 Toyota bZ XLE Plus to the ultimate test: a 10-80% DC fast-charging sprint at a Tesla Supercharger. Toyota officially quotes a 30-minute charge time for the new 74.7 kWh battery pack, but in our real-world testing, we managed to smash that claim with a recorded time of just 26 minutes.

The "4x" is gone, and in its place is a much more competitive EV. For 2026, the bZ (formerly bZ4X) gains a native NACS port, an upgraded 11-kW onboard charger, and a massive boost to 314 miles of range on this XLE Plus trim.
