🍄 Did mushrooms ignite our genius? The Stoned Ape theory claims yes—fungi fueled creativity & neural leaps, directly challenging the myth of brain size evolution via meat. 

Critics argue that the increase in protein from meat to increase brain size is not a strong causal conclusion as protein is readily available in plants in healthier forms. This was also debunked by 2022 dental evidence of plant-dominant diets during brain surges, weak causal links, & fat scavenging as the real calorie hero.
