🪴"Plants feel pain too, therefore vegans are hypocrites!"

This is an alarmingly popular argument growing in the Meatrix🚨

The obvious problem with this is that even if plants could feel pain (which lacks scientific consensus due to their lack of a nervous system), plant-based diets require far less plants compared to animals. 🧮

Why? Because animal agriculture requires vast amounts of crops to feed livestock, leading to more plant harvesting than a direct plant-based diet.🌱

For example, a 2013 study by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (found that 6 pounds of feed (corn, soy, etc.) are needed to produce 1 pound of beef. 

So by conservative estimates, by eating beef they are killing 6x more plants! Plants feel pain is an argument FOR veganism if they actually want to reduce so-called "plant-suffering"
