Group classes are hurting your HYROX time

Not because they are bad.
But because they are incomplete.

Most group classes lack two things HYROX demands:
progressive overload and enough running.

If the workout changes every day, nothing is being built intentionally. No progression in running volume. No progression in aerobic capacity. No progression in strength that actually carries over to race day.

HYROX races last 75 to 100 minutes.
Most group classes last 60 minutes, and that includes a warm up and a cool down. The math does not work.

That is why athletes feel strong early and fade late. Their training never prepares them for sustained output.

Now here is the important part.
Group classes can still have a place.

One to two times per week is fine. They are great for community, motivation, and touching race skills. But if group classes are the foundation of your training, you are leaving performance on the table.

A better option for most athletes is simple.
Run more.
Build aerobic capacity.
Track progression.

Running gives you what classes cannot: sustained work, repeatable pacing, and the engine that actually decides HYROX races.

Use classes as a supplement.
Use running as the foundation.

That is how you get faster.
