There’s been a lot of talk in the media lately about Canadians feeling unwelcome in the U.S. — but that’s just not been my experience.

As a Canadian who’s owned property in Florida for 5 years, I’ve always felt nothing but warmth, friendliness, and camaraderie from our American neighbours — no matter their politics.

Every July 4th, we proudly celebrate with our friends down south, and I’m grateful to share a border with such a spirited and welcoming country.
