🏡✨ Big news for Canadian homebuyers this January - snagging a home just got a tad easier in 13 major markets! 

All thanks to the insights from Ratehub.ca, revealing a sweet drop in the average income needed to lock down a home purchase. 🎉 

Why the change? Home prices decided to take a breather, and mortgage rates eased up a bit, making that pesky mortgage stress test a bit more bearable. 📉💸

This January, the stress test rate cooled down to 7.71%, a welcome dip from December's 8.16%, all riding on an average mortgage rate of 5.71%. 📊 

For Vancouverites, this means needing about $9,620 less in income to buy a home - pretty significant, right? 

Toronto and Calgary folks, you're in for some relief too, with noticeable drops in the income needed to get into the housing game. 🌟

But hey, don't get too cozy just yet. The market's getting its groove back, with home sales and prices inching upwards.
