DIVING QUEENS

Adding certified open water and deep diver (to 30m) to our CVs 🤙 Such an awesome experience learning to dive at Trawangan on Gili T. The instructors are so knowledgeable, supportive, and the coolest. The course was over 3 days, which included 4 dives, an exam, and practical learnings like how to remove water from your mask, how to use a diving computer, how to conduct a safety stop, how to share air with your buddy, and much more. 

I won’t lie, I flat out panicked on our first dive at 12m. Breathing through a regulator was kinda scary in open water, but my instructor and Ty were so supportive and held my hand the whole way 🤣 

We went to 4 different dive spots, and on the last dive, we were allowed to bring our GoPros as part of a “fun dive.” Here are some of the underwater creatures we saw, but there were so many more, like pufferfish, spotted stingrays, black-tipped sharks, dories, cuttlefish, lion fish and many turtles. 

After the open water course, we decided to do a deep dive course, which allows us to go to 30 meters (valid for a year) because we didn’t have time to do our advanced divers and we’re planning on diving around the Komodo island in July. Going 30 meters below is WILD, and being that low reduces the time you can spend underwater because of nitrogen narcosis #funfact

Needless to say, a new hobby has been formed. More diving to come…
