There’s an indescribable fulfillment in passing down the game of baseball, a journey that resonates deep within my heart.

Baseball, in its own way, is such a remarkable teacher about life.

Teaching my son this sport reveals its simplicity and complexity, much like life itself.

Here are some parallels in lessons  of life that I thought would be relevant for you.

-Discipline Matters, In both baseball and life, and what I know is that discipline sets the stage for success.

-Consistently executed fundamentals outshine sporadic moments of greatness which is such a parallel  to a reflection of life’s steady progress simply putting one foot in front of the other every day!

-Show Up and Compete. The simple act of showing up and giving your best is a universal principle when it comes to success.

-Team Over Self is a success principle. If you want to go fast go alone… if you want to go far build a great team. 

-Speak Softly, Carry a Big Stick.
Don’t worry about telling people how great you are… let your actions do the talking. 

-Ball doesn’t lie… we all play baseball on the baseball field and life under the same sun and moon. The game, much like life, reveals truths we can’t ignore.

-Progress over perfection, You don’t have to be perfect to win but you have to learn from your mistakes… 3 out if 10 gets you to the Hall of Fame.

My life’s purpose has become setting seeds of character, and coaching these young players is my new avenue.

What an incredible journey it’s been so far… looking forward to seeing these boys tackle this game.
