After a few emotional weeks spent amidst the complexities of Union and Vidyan politics, it seemed right to shift gears and explore a lighter side of the galaxy - specifically, through the eyes of Req, a Union synthetic currently stationed at the bustling Galactic Getaway resort on Gamma Colony.

Nestled deep within a densely packed jungle planet, the resort offers a charmingly antiquated escape. Req stands out here, not  due to being a synthetic (hardly unusual in this galaxy) but because they’re among the few Union citizens working openly among the colony’s staff.

Officially titled Deputy Assistant Manager, Req finds their role encompassing far more than daily administrative tasks. In practice, they’ve become a one-synthetic welcoming committee, dutifully answering endless questions about Union culture, politics, and daily life that guests from across the Octants have. They’ve also happily appointed themselves the unofficial ‘Ambassador of Joy’, a bizarre title management has quietly accepted and guests seem to adore.

So, when a film crew arrived, intent on capturing Gamma’s quirky charm for the wider galaxy, there was little question as to who would best represent the resort.
