Stop trying to be important and start trying to be impactful.
.
The truth is, in my experience, the equation is exactly backwards.
.
If you’re in fact truly impactful, you will ultimately get to your destination of being “important”.
.
There is a falseness about today’s world that we need to be “liked” in order to be important and I’m here to tell you that is an empty destination.
.
Chasing their acceptance is the surefire way for you to ultimately be empty.
.
You need to focus on being true to yourself and ultimately doing good by others.
.
not good for others who can return the good but rather, do something for someone who can’t necessarily return the “transaction” to you.
.
The world rewards your intentions, not your tactics.
.
For me, this is where I have found some of my most fulfilling moments for ME...
.
This is my Haitian son, Marco. This little boy can’t necessarily do “something” for me but on the flip side he’s done just as much for me as anyone on this planet.
.
In my soul, he’s a part of me... he’s made me feel important because I have been able to impact him and one day he will realize that he done exactly the same.
.
He is important because he has also Impacted me.
.
This little boy has changed the trajectory for an entire village because of the impact he has had on me... ultimately making him important to the entire community.
.
The best part is, he doesn’t even know it.
.
But I do, and he’s important to me.
.
And because of all of you, Marco is now in school.
.
He is fed everyday and has access to food, clean water, care and medical attention as well as 50 of his new friends and for that I am forever indebted to you 🙏🏻.
.
I love you all, from the deepest part of my core for your selflessness in supporting #30forthekids ❤️🙏🏻.
.
Remember, the direction you are moving is way more important than the speed.
.
Stop worrying about the transaction and start focusing on the intention.
.
Right foot, left foot.
