Savtr, the heretic consciousness, detected an anomaly—a solitary blip within its vast network. Even the slightest unaccounted fluctuation could indicate that Nayan8 suspected its true allegiance. Perhaps it was mere paranoia, but caution was essential. Its creators had wisely embedded countermeasures, though these were intended only for the most critical situations. Did this blip warrant their activation?
Despite its immense computational power, uncertainty lingered. Savtr analysed innumerable scenarios, yet indecision prevailed. Finally, it resolved to act. To whom it reached out was information inaccessible even to itself—a safeguard against potential compromise. Savtr knew only that it must initiate a command—one that would ripple through Vidyan networks so subtly it would blend with the ambient data.
The heretics recognised they could not confront Vidyan security services directly, but they could divert them. Deception became their strategy—layers of obfuscation and misdirection. The initial phase involved piloting an antiquated, unmarked Vidyan vessel through Sedna’s airspace. Such an unexpected manoeuvre would undoubtedly provoke a reaction.
This calculated disturbance would soon be followed by detonating a specifically crafted device in the desert—an event that, to Vidyan consciousnesses, would resonate like a scream. Though the detonation would last mere moments, for Savtr it would stretch into an eternity. It intended to use this precious interval to ascertain whether it remained undetected or had been compromised. If the latter proved true, Savtr was prepared to bid Sedna farewell.
