Erfan is a symbol. 

No information can be 100% certain, but even if the sources are wrong, we must continue to rally around Erfan. 

A rumor was circulating about his execution on social medias. The execution, originally scheduled for January 14, was postponed thanks to international pressure.

The main source is a CNN article published today, citing a family member (Somayeh, who declined to be identified by her full name for security reasons) and the human rights organization Hengaw (based in Norway).  

According to Somayeh, in a video message: “I call on everyone to help secure Erfan’s freedom.” Hengaw confirms a brief face-to-face meeting.
