Officially, the EU has no capital. But Brussels became the de facto capital step by step:

✨ History: First EEC meeting in 1958, institutions gradually moved in.
⚖️ Neutrality: Not Paris, Berlin, or Rome. No big country got the advantage.
📍 Geography: Central location, easy to reach for diplomats and media.
🏛️ Institutions: Home to the Commission, Council, part of the Parliament, and NATO.
🌍 Symbolism: A city of compromise and cooperation, not national dominance.
