She is paused.

She stepped aside so other parts could work harder

She went quiet so I could survive.

She is breathing
under the layers I had to grow.

In the pauses
between my breaths
when I stop performing resilience
She hums heavenly tunes

And only I can hear that
Sweet gentle humming

Its weightless
So, I carried the music all along 
Through everything that came next

not by returning,
not by remembering

Just by being.

There is no return
No rescue

Just recognition.
