• VW Golf, we will definitely meet again! 😁 Seriously, there’s just something about the Golf that makes you totally love and respect this car 🙌. What car gives you that warm, fuzzy feeling?

This edit was put together using adobe After Effects and blender.official Blender.

• Honestly, the After Effects part wasn’t too wild.
The main thing was a match cut transition from the real footage to the 3D render, using position, scale and opacity, plus a wheel transition to create that loop. Just a little bit of color correction to make sure the frames matched up nicely!

• In Blender, I built a small scene with the road and surroundings, prepped the car, broke it into pieces, and added a car rig to get the wheels animating. Then came the camera animation and the hood reveal. Finished it all off with the final render! ✌️

• I played around with the sound design, trying to get the engine volume to track the car’s position and distance from the camera. It’s not flawless, but I think it turned out pretty good ! Let me know what you guys think! 🙌
