How the Greeks in 300 Really Spoke — Ancient Greek in Real Life

Disclaimer: This is a historical reenactment based on my research into the proposed phonetics of Ancient Greek.
  
🏛️ In 480 BC, at the Battle of Thermopylae, Greek soldiers spoke not English but Ancient Greek — a sharp, rhythmic language that shaped Western thought.

This short reconstruction uses authentic phrases drawn from Classical Greek sources:
Ὦ φίλοι, κρατεῖτε! — O friends, hold firm!
Ἡ τιμὴ ἡμῖν ζῇ. — Honor lives within us.
Μὴ φοβεῖσθε, Ἕλληνες! — Do not fear, Greeks!

The movie 300 made these warriors famous, but this is what they might have actually sounded like — no stylization, no English dialogue, just the living voice of history.
