How to find your creative voice:
1) Take notice of the things that make you feel more like yourself. For me these are nature, futurism, and Scandinavia.
2) Ask yourself how you can take the things you love and express yourself with them. I can express my ideas of what the future might look like visually and draw from the styles of Scandinavian graphic design and color theory.
3) Put all your favorite things in a picture, song, or whatever form feels right to you. That’s the beauty of this approach, it can apply to any mode of expression from cooking to mathematics.
When we express ourselves it helps others to see and understand us. Each of us is unique because of our experiences, and these experiences inform our tastes, values, and priorities. We can communicate these things to ourselves and others through self-expression.
