If rejection feels unbearable… this might be why…

Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD) isn’t about being “too sensitive.”

It’s about a nervous system that learned early to stay on high alert.

Many ADHDers grow up receiving constant micro-corrections or criticisms.
- Not because they’re failing but because the world isn’t built for how their brain works.

Over time, the nervous system starts to treat:
• feedback as danger
• silence as disapproval
• rejection as threat

So when something small happens, the reaction feels huge
You’re not being “too much” it’s involuntary.
Your body reacts before logic can step in.

This isn’t a character flaw. It’s not emotional immaturity - actually, we’re pretty good at that.
It’s not something you can “just think your way out of” but even years of conditioning can be undone. ❤️‍🩹

Understanding and healing our RSD changes how we talk to ourselves, how we relate to others, and how we heal.

If this resonates, you’re not alone 🤍
