I couldn’t not talk about this… 

With the right knowledge, support and understanding, people with ADHD don’t just cope we can THRIVE. We have a unique magic I adore, and I’m passionate about celebrating the positives. 

👉🏻 But…

I can’t help feeling so saddened to see more barriers appearing for those seeking support, knowing how much they might need that help. ❤️‍🩹

Living with undiagnosed ADHD led me to some very, very dark places addictions, overwhelm, and moments of real desperation. 

I know now that with the right support, my life pre-diagnosis could have been so much happier. And I hate to think others might have their potential blocked too. 💔

Whilst I acknowledge there may be room for improvement within the system, stigmatising headlines and narratives like “overdiagnosed” are irresponsible and harmful. 

Greater awareness, understanding and education are the reasons more people are seeking clarity. 🫶🏼

This narrative also fuels the toxic perceptions of “ADHD isn’t real” or “everyone’s a bit ADHD” we’ve all heard the myths & one-liners. Which are already so insufferable. 

I know first-hand that undiagnosed ADHD can be dangerous and deeply detrimental to people’s mental health.

Let’s lead with compassion and open minds, and encourage people to get the clarity they deserve.
