The arts were on full display everywhere we went. 🎨

We were in Florence during the Feast Day for St. John the Baptist, the city’s patron saint. That means we were able to catch some of the festivities—the Historical Parade of the Florentine Republic which has been celebrated for centuries and a performance by the Flag Throwers of the Uffizia.

We missed the gruesome Calcio Storico (watch some videos and you’ll see what I mean) and caught a burst or two of the fireworks before calling it a day.
