Back in my teens and 20s, basketball was everything. I could play from afternoon until the court lights switched off—then hang out with friends, hyped up from watching Slam Dunk.

Fast forward to today: I’ve moved to a place with a basketball court right under my block. And the best part? I now get to play with my two kids.

If you told me years ago that life would turn out like this, I wouldn’t have believed it. It’s amazing how much can change in just one or two decades.
