## Caption

La historia de este jardín empezó muchos años atrás, concretamente en 2018, cuando después de haber creado para fyjamx desde un lote de semillas donado, la colección de dalias silvestres del jardín botánico de Chapultepec, me planteé diseñar praderas desde semilla. Muchos experimentos después, aquí estoy. El hecho de que sea un jardín de exhibición para designweekmex lo hace aún más divertido. Ayer en obra un trabajador de otro despacho, que me conoce de años, me dijo que el jardín se veía “pobre”, pero que confiaba que lo iba a “terminar” yo "a tiempo". Me encanta este tipo de interacciones porque me permiten asomarme a lo que las personas entienden como paisaje. El tema de la percepción es muy interesante. ¿Qué es paisaje? ¿Qué percibimos como natural? Mi misión es hacer visible que el paisaje es un proceso, que es un continuo sin límites y que entre más borremos la frontera entre el paisaje natural y el cultural, más resiliente será.

The story of this garden began many years ago,specifically in 2018, when after successfully creating the wild dahlia collection at the Chapultepec Botanic Garden, I first considered creating meadows from seed. Many experiments later, here I am. The fact that it’s an exhibition garden for designweekmex makes it even more exciting. Yesterday, at the construction site, a worker from another office, who has known me for years, told me that the garden looked “kind of poor,” but that he trusted I would “finish it on time.” I love these  interactions, because they allow me a glimpse to what people understand as landscape. Perception is most interesting. What is landscape? What do we perceive as natural? My mission is to show those who can’t see it that landscape is a process, a continuous limitless whole, and that the more we blur the line between the natural and the cultural landscape, the more resilient it will be.
