There’s a lot to say about today, but as I go to bed, I just realise that today healed a small part of me that I was ignoring for a very long time. 

I am not an “apolitical” person. I have never been one. I have opinions, ideas and I love engaging in discussions about the big picture questions. But I was repressing that side of me for a few years for several reasons.

(One I have described in my last reel) 

Recently, I was made to realise how MUCH I have been censoring my thoughts. And I plan not to do that anymore. And having a little hope in this country really helps with that. 

As far as results are concerned, congratulations to everyone who voted and stood against one of the most powerful governments in the world. We have all been very critical of the masses, but it’s not easy to discern between truth and propaganda in India where all news channels just engage in continuous government PR. And yet, Indians did it. 

They went out in extreme heat, risked their health and their lives to get here. 

The heat that was expected but wasn’t even taken into account while planning the elections. Hundreds of people have died in last few days but this ever increasing horror wasnt even discussed in election rallies. 

I hope whoever forms the next government, and whoever heads it, learns that they have to talk about issues that really matter. 

They can’t ignore reality and focus on PR. 

That unemployment, inflation, climate crisis these are the real issues. And people do know what they want.
