So, we thought it might be a good idea to do a little ‘About Us’ post for those of you that don’t know us.

Nichol Smith Investments is a property investment and development company based in Edinburgh. We’re a husband and wife team with two 8-year-old labs called Ruby and Rosie. In addition, we now have a tiny 11-week old baby helper, Ella. 

We started off investing in property by purchasing run-down properties and renovating them while we lived in them. Then, every year or so, we would finish renovating our home and decide to sell and move again! 

We could see the potential to earn a great living in what we were doing, so we’ve bought, renovated and sold many homes together over the past ten years. Then, in 2017 we decided to leave our day jobs, sell our family home and use the capital to start funding our property journey. Fast forward to today, and we have a great property business, a team of great people, and wonderful investors.
 
Most of our projects have been in Edinburgh, and they’ve all varied in size and scale. Each project has helped us gain a wealth of experience and contacts in the industry. 

Our business model is simple: we buy properties, renovate them, and sell them for profit. We love finding run-down properties and bringing them back to life, particularly older properties with original period features in Edinburgh. 

We spend a lot of time finding the perfect projects, and this is where the key to our business lies. Each property we renovate and sell makes our business great profits, and we’re delighted to share these profits with those who invest in our company.
