5 Things About Me… the honest fairytale version

My childhood was full of heartache the kind no child should ever go through.
It left scars I carried into adulthood, always wondering if I was ever truly enough.

I made mistakes when I was younger… looking for love in all the wrong places.
I just wanted to feel wanted and sometimes that led me to people and places that hurt more than healed.

🏰But like a true princess… my happily ever after began when I met my Bear in 2010.
I was never lucky in love until him. We married in 2019 the love I had waited for, the love we both deserved.
A love story that will last an eternity. 🏰💖

😤I’ve struggled with my weight most of my life.
Still on the journey learning, falling, getting back up. Not perfect, but always trying.

😭🤯I went through early menopause and now I’m post-menopausal at 44.
My body changed quicker than my heart could understand.
And surviving a pulmonary embolism made me realise just how fragile and precious life really is…..I will never forget the doctor when he said say goodbye now in case you don’t make it! 

❤️‍🩹I’m not a mum…
And some days the ache is quiet, some days it’s loud. But I’m learning that my story still has meaning even without the chapter I once wished for.

And so… this is me.
Not a perfect princess story but a real one.
Written with heartbreak, hope and a happily ever after that didn’t come from a castle…
but from surviving, healing and finally choosing myself.

✨ Because every fairytale looks different and this one’s mine.
