And you casually drop something like “Idk their body language didn’t match their words but yeah sure seemed nice enough aside from that...” 👀

If you resonate with this, please keep reading.

The truth is, a lot of neurodivergent people have an incredible aptitude for pattern recognition, reading micro-expressions, and noticing the smallest shifts in energy. But here’s what isn’t talked about enough: this skill often over develops because we’ve spent a huge portion of our lives in hypervigilance and nervous system dysregulation.

When you’re autistic or ADHD, heightened sensitivity to sensory input, constant scanning for social cues and the pain of rejection or misunderstanding can keep your nervous system on high alert. Over time, this survival mode becomes so normal that we start to think it’s just how we work. That’s why so many of us hit “burnout” walls that feel impossible to recover from, our system has never been given permission to rest, regulate and feel safe.

This is why nervous system regulation is not just optimal for neurodivergent people. It’s essential. Without it, the strategies and methods that are meant to help us; therapy approaches, productivity hacks, self-improvement advice developed for brains that don’t work like ours can feel impossible to sustain, especially when they’re built on top of a body that is still wired for threat.

What finally changed everything for me wasn’t another system to force myself into but learning how to work with my neurodivergence, not against it. It was rewiring my nervous system, rebuilding trust in my body and learning to create safety for the parts of me that had lived in survival for too long.

That’s the work I now share through my 1:1 AuDHD-informed coaching. You’ve tried it all and it still feels like nothing truly sticks, because no one ever showed you how to heal at the level your system actually needed.

DM me if you’re ready to learn what worked for me when traditional methods failed so you can finally experience life beyond the loop of burnout, anxiety, shame spiralling and self-blame.
