Trying Pad Kaprao (Thai holy basil stir fry) in Bangkok 🇹🇭

This was my first proper taste of the dish — made the traditional way with holy basil (kra pao), not Thai basil. The flavour is bold, peppery, slightly spicy, and incredibly addictive.

I had it with beef here, cooked fast over high heat, the way it’s meant to be. Simple ingredients, but so much depth.

And this is exactly why I’m here — tasting, learning, and understanding dishes at their source.

Tomorrow I’ll be sharing my version: Pad Kaprao Gai (chicken), with a little help from a local 👀
