The fastest way to ruin your productivity:

Sit for hours straight without a break.

That used to be me.
Lazy to get out and go for a walk.
“It’s too hot. It’s too cold. No time.”
Excuses.

And the result?
By afternoon, I was drained, foggy, and felt like my brain was cooked.

What changed it?
Walking the talk after becoming a health coach—and my mother-in-law.

Even in the final stages of her cancer, she walked.
Every single day. I started joining her to support her.

And over time, consistency made it stick.
I got creative with ways to walk more:

↳ After meals: Helps lower blood sugar spikes.
↳ After waking up: Boosts hormones and energy.
↳ After a LinkedIn post: Fresh air sparks my best ideas.
↳ After a Zoom call: Plan for 25 or 50 mins, use the rest to move.

Stanford research confirms that walking can boost creative thinking by up to 60%. It’s like hitting a mental refresh button.

How to do more of it:

↳ Start small, even with a 5-minute loop.
↳ Find a walking buddy for accountability.
↳ Track your steps—know your starting point.
↳ Walk at the same times daily, like after meals.
↳ Celebrate every step forward. Progress is progress.

Walking more has transformed how I think, work, and feel.
In the end, it’s one of the simplest, free ways to support both your health and mind.

P.S Favorite time/place of the year to go out for a walk? Autumn 🍂 and hearing the sound of leaves 🍁 in the forest!

Where are you going for a walk today?
