Here’s how I doubled my daily energy

(so you can too!)

Catch the Morning Light

Your body needs sunlight to know it’s morning and start its own to-do list. If I can’t go outside, I look out the window for a few minutes—even on cloudy days. This helps set my melatonin levels for a better evening wind-down.

Maximize Groggy Time (First Hour)

I use the first hour to ease into my day. I enjoy Tony Robbins’ priming meditation, which combines simple breathing and visualization. It only takes 10 minutes and sets the tone for the day. It’s way better than diving into emails or waiting for inspiration.

Do a Quick Stretch

After focusing my mind, I wake up my body with 5 minutes of light mobility exercises or stretching. This helps circulation and flexibility—especially on long sitting days.

Set a Daily Focus

After my shower, I write down a few top priorities. I ask, “What would make today feel successful?” It keeps me focused and intentional with my energy.

Choose a Savory Breakfast

Food is energy. So I treat breakfast as an upgrade for my day: eggs, avocado, nuts, seeds, and seasonal veggies. It keeps me full until the afternoon without feeling sluggish.

Time Your Coffee

I limit coffee to the morning and sometimes switch to green tea. Depending on liver enzymes, it can take hours to fully process caffeine, impacting sleep and energy.

Take Quick Walks

I usually take my walks after meals. It helps with my digestion and keeps me from feeling sluggish. Even a 10-minute walk around the block helps.

Eat Dinner Early

I sleep better when I finish eating around 4-5 p.m. Good sleep means more energy the next day. It’s not always possible outside my routine, but your body’s “cleaning team” at night will thank you.

Question Meeting Requests

To protect my time, I’ve started to be selective with meetings. If it can be handled, I’ll send a quick text, video, or voice message. It saves my energy for priorities.

Turn On Your Favorite Song

When my focus dips, I turn on a favorite song and dance in front of the mirror. It may sound funny, but it instantly lifts my mood. And mood fuels energy! :)
