“All ingredients are from Leaf Store — I love how fresh they always are.” theleafstore ❤️muttipomodoroau 🍅
Beef cutlets;
* 450g ground beef
* half bunch parsley or basil
* ½ large onion or 1 small onion
* 3 garlic cloves
* ½ jalapeños (optional, more or less based on desired spicyness)
* ½ tbsp salt
* ½ tsp black pepper
* 1 tsp paprika
* 1 egg
* 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
Garlicky Tomato Sauce
* ½ tsp salt
* Bunch of basil
* 1 cup crushed tomatoes
* 1 garlic clove
Other
* olive oil
* 2 potatoes
* 1 bell pepper
* greek yogurt (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 200C (400F)
2. Prepare the beef cutlets:
Finely dice your onion,garlic and basil and combine them with the remaining ingredients. Form the mixture into small patties, lightly coat them with olive oil, and place them in a baking pan lined with parchment paper.

3. Prepare the potatoes:
Peel and slice the potatoes into disks. Toss them in olive oil, season with salt, and arrange them on a separate parchment lined baking pan.
4. Par-bake:
Bake both the cutlets and potatoes for 12-15minutes to partially cook them
5. Make the sauce:
While the cutlets and potatoes bake, prepare your sauce. In an 8-inch circular baking dish, combine the crushed tomatoes, minced garlic, and your spices. Stir to mix.
6. Assemble:
Slice the bell pepper into disks or long strips. Once the cutlets and potatoes are ready, arrange the beef, potatoes, and bell pepper slices in a circular pattern in the pan, alternating each component.

7. Bake:
Return the dish to the oven and bake for another 20-30 minutes, until the tomato sauce starts bubbling.
8. Serve:
Finish with dollops of Greek yogurt and a sprinkle of parsley. Serve with rice.
