ever wonder what it actually takes to work alongside the people you once only dreamed of meeting?

i’ve just come back from spending 2 weeks behind the scenes at the crossfit games, working with some of the greatest athletes in the world.

it was an incredible experience - and one i’m grateful for - but it didn’t happen overnight.

when i first started my business, i thought i’d be treating top athletes straight away. the reality was very different. it all began in a tiny office above a crossfit box, helping the gym owner with a back injury. i brought my bed, got my reps in, and he felt better. he told people in the box. word spread. before long, i was fully booked - and that little room became my first practice.

from there, i slowly grew my business to multiple locations, hiring the right people. but i never stopped chipping away at my niche. over the years i’ve coached crossfit for hundreds of people, owned my own crossfit box, analysed the crap out of it, did it, competed in it, trained with the elite, learned from them, and discovered what it really takes to be at the top - and i’m thankful i’m doing good enough work that i still get to work with them today.

if there’s one thing i’ve learned, it’s this: working with the best doesn’t start with the best. it starts with showing up for the person right in front of you, getting your reps in, learning from mistakes, and being patient. keep at it long enough, and one day you might look up and realise you’ve arrived at the place you once dreamed of being.
