The moment they handed me the Spanish flag 🇪🇸

I’m standing backstage at websummit .108 countries. 108 flags. 108 founders walking on stage.

Someone hands me Spain’s flag.

And I think: “10 years ago, I didn’t belong here.”
I was Ukrainian, just arrived in Spain with one suitcase. Confused. Lost. Almost gave up on my relocation dream.
Today? I’m on stage representing the country that gave me a chance.

Not representing where I was born. Representing where I was built.

I look at the arena. Thousands of people. Every nationality imaginable.

And I see:
 • Someone from Korea creating in Switzerland
 • A Swedish founder operating from Latvia
 • Canadians building in Portugal
 • Me - Ukrainian brain, Spanish company, Portuguese stage

This is the future.
Not “stay where you’re born.”But “go where you can thrive.”
