Eagle just got a brand new bakery and might be one of the loveliest spots in Idaho . 🤍

sourdoughandsageeagle has officially started their soft opening, and the grand opening is April 1st. 🥖

I have been looking for a true European flour-only bakery for so long and this is it.

Sourdough, cinnamon rolls, salads, parfaits, egg sandwiches, butter boards, coffee and more. 

Everything at Sourdough & Sage is built with love, and you can feel that the second you walk in. They call it “happy bread” and it kind of makes sense once you try it. 🫶🏼

The menu is rooted in family recipes passed down from their grandmothers, but paired with what we know now about nutrition, so it’s thoughtful in a way you don’t see very often.

Their whole approach is really intentional:
85% wholesome, organic, local, seasonal ingredients 🌿
10% sweet treats (because it’s still a bakery) 🍰
5% fun, where they get to break the rules a little ✨

They’re baking with organic, European, glyphosate-free, non-GMO flours, using grass-fed butter, no seed oils, and lowering sugar wherever they can.

And this part matters if you care about sourdough. Everything is made from scratch, naturally leavened, no added flour mid-process, and no instant yeast to speed it up. It takes longer, but you can taste the difference.

This is a true European-style bread experience, built with gut health in mind, and I am so glad it’s here. 🩷
