Four years f**king sober, baby! And I’m celebrating in the jungle. 🌴 🥥 

I can’t believe it if I’m honest. When a night out went wrong, I took 30 days off alcohol& 4 years later, here we are. No drink, no drugs, no cigarettes. 

The truth is, with sobriety, you feel everything. The ecstasy, the heartbreak, the butterflies, the intuition, the fear - and it’s a lot. Because we live in a society where we were not taught to feel or to process, or to reach true highs, or handle true lows without it. We often use substances as a mechanism to help us ‘have fun’, get drunk and say things we can’t say sober’, or to relax into uncomfortable spaces, or just to take us to nirvana. The truth is, sobriety has taught me to do all of those things - without a substance. 

Its taught me to feel exhilaration through the ultimate divine energy that lives within me - and in others. I can hand on heart say I NEVER experienced the chemistry, connections, moments or experiences that I have since being sober. 

I never EVER talk about it about how sobriety isn’t always an easy decision for me. Arriving in Mexico always reminds me that just over four years ago, the first thing I did when I arrived when I landed here was go to the pharmacy and buy over the counter Xanax and went home and took them straight away. Now I look at the pharmacy's here and wonder what people have to be going through to do that. I’ve come a long long damn way. 🤍✨

There have been so many times during the darkness and my heartbreak that it would have been so easy to reach for a bottle. So, so easy - but I didn’t. And for that, I’m so proud. 

This is the ultimate life achievement for me so far.

If you’re curious. Give it a go.  You don’t have to have a problem - but I guarantee you it could just be a solution.

And most of all, thank you for every friend who has supported me. Sobriety wouldn’t be possible w out you cos you support me for exactly who I am. 💃
