Google just added AI video detection directly inside Gemini.
Upload a video and instantly see if it was AI-generated —
no plugins, no third-party tools.

This works using SynthID:
an invisible signal embedded into the video itself,
surviving edits, compression, and resizing.

Right now, it only detects Google-generated videos.
But this is the first real step toward AI accountability.

At the same time, Veo 3.1 makes AI videos more realistic than ever.
