These are just small clips of seizures that lasted hours 

Status Epilepticus is when seizures last more than five minutes or occur multiple times without regaining consciousness in between

You can see in these videos when my body would attempt to come out of it and then another would start - I popped a blood vessel in my eye from the intensity of these seizures in my face

In the beginning I could regain consciousness in between ‘smaller’ seizures and then I was totally gone - the end of the video is when I slowly started coming out of these

My husband texted me the next day and said “I just couldn’t help but think about how I’m going to tell Halston (our daughter) that you’re gone”

SUDEP or sudden death in epilepsy is a real fear for friends and family of epileptics

This is why I’m having to leave my family for a bit and seek help in Utah. I have a doctor there that might be able to help

November is Epilepsy month. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate worsening seizures and hopefully find more seizure free days 🙏🏼

For those who ask about Echo, he alerts before seizures happen which is why I was in a safer place during these seizures but when Ruben is there, he knows that’s where his job ends. He’s taught to get out of the way for human rescue. 🫶🏼
