How do I support healthcare for vulnerable people? 

You have seen my motivational/ educational content here, with the help of my amazing social media team wy._.guy .
But this is not all that I do. Let me explain a bit more about my work in global, digital & mental health. 

I'm passionate about reducing inequalities in healthcare. I was inspired from early childhood, having lived through war & displacement, and seeing myself, my family members, and countless others not having access to quality healthcare, including mental health. 

Since becoming a doctor in the UK, I have worked with governments & international organisations in helping them shape their healthcare advocacy, policies, strategies & services to be more culturally appropriate & inclusive, especially of the vulnerable communities such as refugees, migrants, the homeless and others. 

In particular, I have supported the World Health Organisation (WHO) since 2018.

I have spoken at several WHO international conferences. Notably, I have worked with WHO on the First World Report on Health of Refugees and Migrants, which details the physical, emotional and social determinants of healthcare that impact refugees & migrants (more than 1 billion people) during the journeys. I was honoured to be a Signatory of this Report alongside Professor Abdulrazak Gurnah - a Nobel Prize Winner. First picture is of me speaking to the global press when we announced the Report. It was recently showcased at a UN event. 

Our philanthropic organisation, Arian Teleheal, partners with several international organisations. We continue to support healthcare for millions of people through advocacy, policy, research, and direct support, including in the Middle East. 

Besides my advocacy and 'speaking up', our team and I work tirelessly every day to shape healthcare & mental health for everyone, including vulnerable and traumatised people.
