🎶 Nirakara — An Evening Beyond Form

Last Dec, I had the privilege of attending “Nirakara”, the soul-stirring concert by Mahesh Kale at Chowdiah Memorial Hall.

An evening where music dissolved boundaries.
Where raga met devotion.
Where every note felt like a prayer rising into silence.

Accompanied by the brilliance of R. Kumaresh on the violin and Jayanthi Kumaresh on the veena, the concert wasn’t just heard — it was experienced.

The alap unfolded like dawn.
The taans soared like temple bells in the sky.
And in those quiet pauses… there was something sacred.

“Nirakara” — the formless.
Yet, through music, it took form in every heart present in that hall.

I am sharing a few moments from the concert — snippets that carry a fraction of that magic.

Some evenings are entertainment.
Some are transcendence.
This was the latter. ✨
