## Caption

“Las Hijas del Maíz” painting 4,50 x 90 cm 
The deities and sacred symbols of the Muisca civilization; Huitaca, Chía, Bachué, and Guatavita, are brought to life in this work as symbols of resistance, sensuality, memory, and the flow of life. I combine their ancestral power with human symbols such as the uterus, roots, and skin to reclaim what colonization attempted to erase: female wisdom, cosmic balance, and the sacred feminine.

Exhibited in Zurich recently, illergallery showcased the work of 10 Colombian artists as well.
