For us Colombians, food is a way to connect the family. This series of assemblages explores the concept of abundance, presented within a wooden human-shaped head. It reflects how grandmothers from Colombia would gift braids made of coffee beans and garlic to their families. These braids could be hung in the kitchen as a symbol of abundance in food.
