You know that moment when you’re trying to decide between a registrar and celebrant? Yeah, this one’s for you 👋
So here’s me writing another completely personal ceremony script because honestly? The difference is night and day. 

Registrar route:
You get the same script everyone else gets (literally word for word), you’re stuck with whatever venue has a license, and you’ve got about 15 minutes before they shuffle you out for the next couple. Oh, and good luck if you want your sister to do a reading or your nan to be involved somehow.

Celebrant route:
I sit down and design YOUR ceremony from start to finish. We chat about how you met, that embarrassing first date, why you knew they were the one. I ask questions, listen and offer you ideas and suggestions I’ve been collecting, inventing and dreaming up. Then I craft a ceremony that’s completely yours - whether that’s on a beach at sunset or in your back garden with fairy lights.

Want your ceremony to be 45 minutes of pure magic? Done. Want to include a handfasting because your gran did it? Absolutely. Want to get married at 4pm instead of 11am on a Tuesday? No problem.

Look, I get it - the registrar option feels safe and straightforward. But your love story isn’t standard, so why should your ceremony be?
