“What is the one opportunity that forever changed the trajectory of your life?” 🚀 ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I got this question at a management consulting job interview in New York in 2012. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I pondered the question for about 10 seconds, and answered, "Receiving a full-ride to study abroad in the US." ⁣⁣

From 15 to 19 years old, I completed high-school in Singapore 🇸🇬 on a government scholarship.

Receiving a full scholarship to study at amherstcollege in the US 🇺🇸 and oxford_uni in the UK 🇬🇧 (and studying abroad at sciencespo in Paris 🇫🇷) at the age of 19 completely changed the trajectory of my life. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
These opportunities opened up my world. It allowed me to meet some of the most incredible people in my life, some of whom I am lucky to call friends till this day. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Swipe right for some of my favorite collegiate moments, and at alumni reunions over the years 💜⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Despite these successes (and a ton of good luck), I wish I'd received more guidance around school choice, major choice, and applying to universities. 💪⁣⁣
⁣⁣
This is why today, I am proud and grateful for the opportunity to pay it forward as an advisor and coach at college_compass ⁣
⁣⁣
This year, College Compass is giving out 3 full scholarships ($11,000 each) to 3 exceptional high-school students to receive hands-on guidance from College Compass counselors. ⁣
⁣
