Hey my beautiful people!

I had to come on this Tuesday and share a few things. This morning, that video I posted truly shocked the hell out of me. Seeing that horrific scene was both heartbreaking and terrifying. As soon as I saw those damn brick bungalow houses, I knew that was my hometown, Chicago.

I originally posted that video not for shock value, but for us to really look at ourselves and take accountability for our community.

This baby had been bullied for two years by these children, and the school ignored that mother’s voice and her child’s cries.

My other concern is: what is going on, or *not* going on, in these children’s homes that would cause them to come out and harm another person like that? This is deeply rooted in our communities, and there is healing that needs to be done.

My heart goes out to that mother and her children, because I know they will be traumatized for life. That moment may have changed their lives forever. It will be forever etched in their souls.

Counseling, therapy, parenting classes, and life coaching are needed in these communities and in these schools. Self-love needs to be a course in both elementary and high school. Y’all can laugh if you want, but this is why hurt people are out here hurting people.

We just witnessed children, from around 10 and up, acting like a gang, bullying a woman and her children. I removed the video from my main grid, but it’s still up, because awareness needs to be brought to light. Accountability needs to happen — from the children, to the parents, to the school.

I watched the Facebook Lives this morning as Chicago came out and showed out for that woman and her babies. My prayer is that these schools and these parents start taking this bullying shit seriously and stop saying, “That’s just what kids do.”

If you’ve gotten this far, know that I appreciate you.

I’m done for now… but the conversation is not.
Yall be good to one another and yourselves and always keep it sexy!!!
