And it was in that moment that I realized... ⤵️

It was going to be on ME to learn everything I could to advocate for my daughter...

And let's get something straight - even if she was going to be coloring pictures of gold or even if she wasn't able to color at all - as a student of that school she STILL deserves every accommodation and service SHE needs to reach HER fullest potential.

But that experience taught me that unfortunately people weren't just going to give her what she needs because she deserved it like every other child...

If I wanted to address the discrimination and marginalization she was going to face, I needed the most knowledge I could gather to ensure I could always be her strongest advocate.

And so that's what I did 💪
