I was a first-time mom to a one-year-old, learning how to navigate motherhood as I went. I felt “alone” in many ways—missing my mom deeply and wishing she could be here to help with my baby (she lives in Brazil). I was scared and quietly depressed, even while holding the most precious, healthy little child.

It was also a hard year to be a creator—back when I was a blogger and Instagram was all about perfectly curated photos. Finding the strength to create when my self-esteem was low wasn’t easy, but somehow I still managed to show up and make content.

Looking back now makes me smile—the lack of editing skills, the hours spent taking photos, the frustration… and my poor husband being endlessly patient 🤣

Despite the struggles, it was a good year. One that shaped me more than I realized at the time.
