For centuries, humans believed they were the center of the universe. Ancient civilizations imagined the Earth as the cosmic stage around which everything revolved. Even today, many people assume that human life must hold some special place in the grand structure of existence.

But modern cosmology tells a different story.
The universe contains trillions of galaxies, each filled with billions of stars. Our planet is just one small world orbiting an ordinary star in an unremarkable corner of a vast galaxy. When viewed against this scale, human civilization appears as a brief and fragile moment in cosmic history.

Under Xtheism Philosophy, this realization forms the foundation of what I call the Theory of Cosmic Insignificance.

It suggests that humanity is not the center of existence, nor the ultimate purpose of the universe. We are temporary configurations of matter capable of awareness and curiosity. Our intelligence and culture may be extraordinary locally, but they remain small when measured against the immense space and time of the cosmos.

Yet this perspective does not lead to despair.
If the universe does not assign meaning to our existence, it means that meaning is something we must create ourselves. Compassion, curiosity, creativity, and responsibility become human choices rather than cosmic obligations.
In a universe that remains silent and indifferent, perhaps the most meaningful thing we can do is care for one another while we are here.
