Step back in time to a charming home built in 1954 by engineer Nicholas G. Roosevelt, a cousin of FDR. Originally located on the adjacent lot, this house was later moved and elevated to incorporate a garage underneath. After Nicholas and his wife Emily passed, they bequeathed the property to their niece, Emily Whaley, a renowned gardener and writer from Charleston. You can still visit her famous garden on Church Street in downtown Charleston. The hardwood floors in the home are original to its construction.

Situated across from beach access with an ocean view, this home features a beautiful screened porch, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee while listening to the waves. The residence includes 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, featuring the Sand Crab Suite—a nod to the original name of the property—complete with a small kitchenette, a bedroom, and a full bathroom.
